Sosan Design - Unique Bags Made from Never-Activated Airbags
My name is Zsuzsanna Szilágyi, the founder and designer of Sōsan Design.
My bags are crafted from unused airbags and recycled seat belts - materials that were originally designed for protection but are given a new life through my work.
During the creative process, I let the material guide me: factory markings, barcodes, and stitching are all intentionally left visible.
These elements give the bags their character; no two pieces are alike. For me, upcycling isn’t just about recycling - it’s a mindset: a kind of dialogue with the material and an opportunity to give the Earth a little breathing room.
As a speaker and educator, I give presentations on sustainable fashion and mindful dressing at high schools, universities, and eco-friendly events, inspiring people of all ages to make more conscious choices.
